Gaylyn Sher-Jan

Gaylyn’s experience spans small to large enterprises across a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, high technology, healthcare scientific research and non-profit. Additionally, Gaylyn’s experience includes environments from start-ups to small businesses to ‘bricks and mortar.’ She’s earned her business skills from highly successful line leadership experiences domestically and internationally. Her international experience includes work in Holland, Spain, England and as an expatriate in Ireland.

Clients value and appreciate Gaylyn’s direct line experience providing deep business knowledge for her clients coupled with hands on, direct work in change management, strategic planning, coaching, facilitating, and training. She has been coaching executives to success for the past 10 years, facilitating and designing strategic planning and business management off-sites, and directly training managers at all levels of an organization in solid management fundamentals. Hewlett-Packard executives relied on her change management expertise to transform the existing, passive culture and create a new, agile culture during the Compaq acquisition. Oregon Health Sciences University brought her in for their monolithic strategic change management effort implementing the complex and ever-changing Presidential HIPAA requirements. In support of her expertise Gaylyn brings a suite of time tested and impactful tools for individuals; she is qualified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator to Step II and the highly acclaimed Hogan Assessment tool.

Gaylyn hold’s a Bachelor of Science degree in MIS and started her career as a systems analyst in a manufacturing environment. Before starting her own consulting practice Gaylyn served as the Human Resources Manager for the $1B personal printing business of Hewlett-Packard in Vancouver, Washington. She is an American Electronics Association (AeA) committee chair and an active member of the Society for Human Resources, the Software Association of Oregon, and she serves on the board of directors for Share House.
